Money is nothing to God. To us, it seems like a huge barrier, but it’s just paper. God can move thousands of dollars around the way the wind sweeps the leaves. The wind forms fun piles here and there but they don’t last, but God’s provision is forever.
Faith and Finance
I have much to think about. God is a faithful provider, whether or not I am a successful salesman. It’s really easy (especially when you go to a bible school of a thousand and one methods) to get trapped in faithless methods for fundraising.
Corrie ten Boom says, in Tramp for the Lord,
“God takes His prohibition of asking for money very seriously, just as He means it seriously when He says He will care for and protect us. However, if we seek to raise out own money then God will let us do it - by ourselves. Many times we will be able to raise great amounts of money by human persuasion or downright perseverance in asking. But we will miss the far greater blessing of letting Him supply all our needs according to His own riches.”
